Candidates can also complete Ready for Work — a 7-stage journey designed to help people prepare for work — and earn 100 extra points.

There’s a monthly leaderboard, with vouchers up for grabs — including options like Amazon, Spotify, Costa, Just Eat and more. 🎁

But the points are only the fun bit. The bigger idea is getting more people connected to jobs, training, volunteering and opportunities across the Island.

Ready for Work is optional — you can take part in Bring a Mate without completing it. Completing all 7 stages earns 100 Ready for Work points on your total.

Ready for Work points do not make you eligible for the leaderboard — eligibility comes from joining the Hub through a Bring a Mate link.

  • Bring a Mate is optional and is part of Wight Employment Hub. You must be 16 or over to take part.
  • Bring a Mate points and the leaderboard are for members who joined Wight Employment Hub through a valid Bring a Mate referral link.
  • Ready for Work points are added to your own total but do not, by themselves, make you eligible for the leaderboard.
  • Each person, business or organisation can only be referred once. The first referral attached to an account is the one that counts.
  • Points are only awarded when the required action has actually been completed.
