AI at Wight Employment Hub
We use AI in a few specific places to make things easier. Here is exactly where, what it does, and what it never does.
Why we use AI
Writing a CV, a cover letter or a job advert is hard work, and a blank page is the hardest part of all. AI lets the Hub help you get started, tidy up your wording and think through your options — at any time of day, without an appointment.
It does not replace people. Guidance, support and recruitment decisions still involve real people.
Where AI is used
Helping you create or improve a CV. Helping you draft a cover letter. Helping you think through your next step when you're not sure. Suggesting practice interview questions. Helping employers word a vacancy.
You will always be told before you use one of these, and AI-generated wording is always labelled as a suggestion for you to check and edit.
Where AI is not used
Browsing jobs and training, the information pages, and everything you read about the Hub itself are written by people, not generated.
AI does not decide who gets a job. Employers make their own recruitment decisions.
What you stay in control of
Nothing AI writes is published, sent or applied on your behalf without you choosing to do it. You can edit anything, ignore anything, and start again as many times as you like.
AI can get things wrong
AI tools sometimes produce wording that is inaccurate, out of date or simply doesn't sound like you. Always read what it produces before you use it, and never rely on it for a factual claim about your own history, qualifications or an employer.
Your information
What you write into an AI feature is used to produce your result. Candidate conversations are private to you and are never shared with employers. Employer conversations are never shared with candidates.
