Local Services terms
These apply alongside the main Wight Employment Hub terms. Your information is handled as described in our privacy notice.
Who can advertise
- You must be 18 or over and based on the Isle of Wight.
- You advertise a service, skill or practical help that you personally offer.
- Local Services is not a free directory for established businesses. Businesses recruiting staff should use Post a Job.
- One listing per account.
Your responsibilities
- Everything in your listing must be true and not misleading.
- You must hold any qualifications, licences, permissions or insurance your service needs.
- You deal with customers directly. The Hub is not part of any arrangement, price or payment.
What isn’t allowed
Anything illegal or dangerous, drugs, weapons, adult or sexual services, hate or extremist content, scams or services that help fraud, and misleading claims such as guaranteed cures, guaranteed financial returns or saying the Hub recommends you.
How listings are checked
Every new listing and every change is checked automatically before it goes public. If the check isn’t sure, the Hub looks at it. The Hub does not verify qualifications, insurance, DBS checks, licences or competence, and does not recommend or endorse any advertiser. The Hub can take a listing offline and will contact you if it does.
